My Thoughts

The cinematagrpahy was beautiful. The nuances in small details in the scenery that provided further symbolism caught my eye. The soundtrack was masterful but with Shawn Carter (Jay-Z) a part of this production, it’s no surprise! The music made me want to pick up my violin and play again.

While there was a moment in the plot that didn’t make sense to me, I understood it was a necessary point to move along the action. I enjoyed getting to learn the names of cowboys that weren’t as well known as names like Cherokee Bill, Stagecoach Mary and Bill Pickett. Bringing all these historic figures together in one movie was truly a unique undertaking and I hope it encourages people to look into the true history of these people.
