This book was recommended by my therapist and I am thankful for it. I learned so much about myself as I read the pages. I was doubtful about what boundaries had to do with any of my issues but was surprised that it factored into so many in pronounced and nuanced ways. So much of the book got highlighted and earmarked by the time I was done!

What’s it About?

Learn how to create healthy boundaries in order to achieve balance in all aspects of your life. Tawwab defines what “healthy boundaries” means, how to say no, and how to assert yourself without offending others. Using cognitive behavioral therapy techniques along with the latest research learn to identify and express your needs clearly and feel free to be yourself.

My Thoughts

I could not believe that so many issues in life can be attributed to not voicing and setting your boundaries! Nedra Tawwab spells it out in terms you can understand and with exercises that make working toward understanding your boundaries and voicing them clear. I learned so much about myself and realized how some issues from my past and current relationships stem from lack of boundary keeping. In this book, you become encouraged to do better in the future.

Overall Impression

Boundaries are more entrenched in our lives than we all realize. I highly recommend this book for each and everyone. No matter your age, gender, or background there is so much to learn about yourself and how you relate to others through reading this title.
