Book Review| Crown of Crimson by Karina Halle
Rating 4 out of 5
After the cliffhanger of book one, I rushed to find out what happened in book two. Crown of Crimson by Karina Halle was a treat. I flew threw this story just as quickly as I did the first one. This is an exciting series and I can’t wait to continue onto the next book.

What’s It About?
Longing to reunite with her father in the Upper World, Hanna Heikkinen has left Death. Unfortunately he sees this as a betrayal to the deal she made to trade places with her father. He doesn’t take this transgression lightly and will stop at nothing to make her pay.
Death travels across the of the Land of the Dead, Tuonela. Ready to exact his revenge on his soon to be bride. Hanna can not get out of her promise that easily. Death’s pursuit only heightens the passion that was already brewing between them. But before they can fully explore where their blossoming love leads—dark, Old Gods threaten to rise. Secrets are revealed and magic is twisted, threatening the land and the possible love Hanna has found.
My Thoughts
The way that the story started definitely did not prepare me for how things progressed. Once again the world Halle built shines in the way it sweeps you away with its descriptions. I enjoyed more of the fiery dynamic between Death and Hanna. They keep me hooked with their unique mix of humor and passion.
I flew through the building action and danger of this book. The pacing created an underlying tension that was just right. At times I felt myself blush with the spiciness of some of the scenes. So if you’re looking for spicy, you will not be disappointed!
Overall Impression
Crown of Crimson was an action packed sequel to the first book in the Underworld Gods series. It sets the stage for even more in the next book!
