My Thoughts
I loved watching Reading Rainbow when I was little so when I found out that there was an adult catered serving of stories from Levar Burton, I was excited! He definitely lives up to my memories of his storytelling from the show and more.
There are many episodes that stuck with me like “‘Silver Door Diner by Bishop Garrison,’” “‘Multo by Samuel Marzioli,’” and “‘The Paper Menagerie by Ken Liu,’” along with countless others. I discovered a new genre to delve into while listening to this podcast, speculative fiction.
My favorite part of each episode is the reminder he gives prior to beginning each story to take a deep breath, it truly gets you primed to rest and relax as you settle in for a good listen. I highly recommend this podcast to those who loved story time growing up and miss relaxing into a good tale.
