My Thoughts

This movie was a cute romance comedy with Christina Milian once again flexing her singing chops. There were times I was frustrated with her character’s actions but I will say that it was truer to real-life. The stand out to me was the character of Caleb played by Sinqua Walls. His was the voice of reason that all of us needs when going through the stages of a breakup. There were a couple of spots that had humor but more along a slight chuckle rather than tears laughing.

The biggest discovery to me was that the island of Mauritius is a real place! (Thanks U.S. education system *rolls eyes*) It is quite beautiful and offers both nature and leisure activities for both couples and families. This movie is a great one to watch after a break-up or as a feel-good romance comedy. The biggest takeaway is adding Mauritius to your list of places to visit!
