Summary

Bullied, shy thirteen year old Finney Shaw is kidnapped and held in a sound proof basement by a masked killer. All seems lost until a disconnected phone on the wall starts to ring and Finney is met with the voices of previously murdered victims on the other end hoping to guide him to safety.

My Thoughts

I wasn’t sure what to expect with this movie but ended up pleasantly surprised. I avoided it for the longest because I didn’t like the killer mask and found it eerie. While there wasn’t much invested in greater depth of characters to understand the killer’s motivation, there was enough substance to keep you interested. Definitely recommend this for those who are a little fearful of the horror genre. This is definitely a lighter selection that isn’t too scary.
